Why's Bar-Headed Goose Named So?

These are feet of the bird we focus on this issue. Well-developed webs indicate that the bird is a genuine waterfowl.

This is Bar-Headed Goose(Anser indicus).

Bar-Headed Goose has distinctive bars on the back of its head, hence it is named so. However, when you take a picture of it from the side, as is always the case with taking picture of a bird, you cannot catch the bars on its head. So I followed the goose to take some shots from the back.

This is one of the shots. Two horizontal lines are connected by a longitudinal line, so the colouration looks like that of tiger.

The shot I wanted to take most was the one from above, but the goose ran away whenever I came closer. Shots from the back, above shot for example, were the best I was able to take.

At last, the goose jumped into the pool and swam away.
Sorry for embarrassing the goose, but I want to take a picture from above some day.
