White Indian Peafowl

Recently, you can hear something mewing from a bird cage by the moving pavement.

As I hid to see what the source of the mew was, it turned out to be a male White Indian Peafowl. Perhaps he's appealing to female peafowls at their mating season.
I've been trying to record the mew, but he always stops mewing immediately when he senses human. Only some video clips with his display were available to me.

Some time ago, when I was informed of a bird staff member that it was the good chance to take the display of the peafowl, he has already folded his tail when I arrived in front of him with a camera.
But this time, he was aware of me but he kept displaying to a female. He attracted many visitors but no female at all.

A video clip from front. Can you hear a rustle? This sound is produced by trembling his tails. Display does not consist of spreading alone, I see.

This poor Peafowl has been ignored by female all the time. On the other hand, a pair of Grey Crowned Cranes seemed to be immersed in love.

Display of White Indian Peafowl seems to display more often in the morning, so if you want to see the display, it is recommended to visit the Park in the morning.
